Purpose of collecting data
Data is collected solely for the purpose of fulfilling the provision of Island Mums Ltd products and services, which includes:

- Publishing of information relevant to local families such as the What’s on guide, weather forecasting, parenting articles, events, research, competitions, trainings, relevant charities and other information.

If you purchased your Family Club membership from our website, we collect your First and Last name, Address, Phone number, Email and secure details associated with your PayPal transaction such as your PayPal email address and date of purchase.
If you have purchased Family Club membership from one of our participating offline distributors such as Beau Sejour we only collect your First and Last name, Phone number and Email.
If you have signed-up to receive the Island Mums newsletter, we collect your Name and Email to be able to deliver services and products information.
We consider email communication and essential part of the provision of our services, however you always have the option to opt-out of receiving our emails.
If you are a fan or follower on any social media platform – we don’t collect any information on you as it’s held by the social media platforms directly.
We use world-class third party payment processing systems, which encrypt sensitive personal data such as your debit, credit card details or PayPal passwords. No individuals in Island Mums can decrypt the sensitive transaction information. The payment gateway systems only allow access to their most senior staff and only in exceptional circumstances (including Card Fraud investigation) so your card details and PayPal passwords are secure even to their own employees who cannot see the full detail on their screens.
If you visit our website islandmums.com, anonymised usage data is collected by various online platforms to enable us to provide better services and includes hosting and backend infrastructure, infrastructure monitoring, analytics, displaying content from external platforms such as our Facebook page, re-marketing and behavioural targeting.
Data processing is carried out using computers and IT tools in limited circumstances printed sign-up forms (with consent tick boxes) following organisational procedures strictly related to the purposes indicated. In addition to Island Mums Ltd, some data may be accessible to certain persons that provide outsourcing services to Island Mums including but not limited to book keeping and accounting, website design and development.

Third party data ownership
Island Mums Ltd reserves the right to transfer the management and ownership of the Family Club scheme to someone else, including the transfer of basic personal information required for the management of your membership and specifically your name, email, address and phone. You will always have the option to opt-out and to cancel your membership with the new Family Club operator and for your personal data to be deleted.
We take our data security responsibilities seriously and employ a variety of measures to protect our customer data. This includes staff training and awareness, data audits, checks on third-party providers being GDPR compliant, review of our IT tools and internal procedures.
