Family Club and Island Mums Ltd Privacy Statement
Island Mums Ltd, a Guernsey company number 53816, whose registered office is at La Ramee Farmhouse, Route de la Ramee, St Peter Port, GY1 2TP, manages the operation, distribution and marketing of the Family Club membership and provides information and editorial content to local families under the Islandmums.com brand.
Island Mums Ltd is registered with the Guernsey Data Protection Commissioner.
To provide the Family Club membership service, our What’s on guides and other products and services, we collect certain personal information which we outline below and we treat protection of this personal data very seriously.
By becoming a Family Club member or signing up for one of our free information products such as the What’s on guides, you accept our Privacy Statement.
Personal Information Collected
If you purchased membership for the Family Club from our website islandmums.com, we collect the following information from you: First and Last name, Address, Phone number and Email Address.
If you have purchased Family Club membership from one of our participating offline distributors such as Beau Sejour or at one of our events, we collect the same personal details as above except your address as we don’t need to deliver the membership Card to you.
If you sign-up to receive our free What’s on Guides, we only collect your Name and Email Address to be able to deliver the guides and other information via email.
If you have are a fan of our Facebook page or a follower on Twitter – we don’t collect any information on you as it’s held by the social media platforms directly.
We use a word-class third party payment processing system (PayPal) and so don’t store any payment details such as credit and debit card details or passwords you may have used to make the online membership fee payments.
Use of data
We collect the data to be able to manage the Family Club membership service and information products provided by Island Mums Ltd to you in the most satisfactory way! We only collect your personal address when we either need to deliver the membership card to you or deliver a certain prize certificate or gift if you have signed up to participating in one. We collect your phone number for SMS broadcasting of new member benefits or when we may need to verify your address or other application details. We collect your email to be able to operate the Family Club membership service by delivering updates on the member benefits and to provide other informational services created by Island Mums Ltd And of course we need your name so we can address you in our emails and be able to verify you as a customer during certain promotions.
Right of access
If you have any questions or concerns, under section 7 & of the Guernsey data protection Law (2001) you have the Right of Access to be given a copy of the personal data we have on file for you. Please get in touch with us on email@example.com.
Right of rectification or erasure
Under section 14 of the Data Protection Law you have the right for data to be corrected, if inaccurate or erased. We can erase your address and mobile number from our records if you wish after we have delivered the Family Club membership Card to you. If you do not wish as a Family Club member or an Island Mums member to be updated via email communication, you can unsubscribe at any time or ask to delete your records.
Third party advertising and data access
We don’t allow any paid third party advertising on any of our channels hence any communication you receive from us is always linked to either the provision of the Family Club membership service of notification of other Island Mums Family products and services free content relevant to families on the Channel Islands.
Island Mums Ltd reserves the right to transfer the management and ownership of the Family Club scheme to someone else, including the transfer of basic personal information required for the management of your membership and specifically your name, email, address and phone. If this was to happen, you would always have the option to cancel your membership with the new Family Club manager and for your personal data to be deleted.
We take our data security responsibilities seriously and employ a variety of measures to protect our customer data. This includes staff training and awareness and we review our measures regularly.
