And of course thank you to Nathan Miller for this latest great piccy.

WEDNESDAY

WEATHER
As we welcome a new wind direction (albeit just a force 2-4), we will see a gradual decline in temperatures but also an increase in brightness, and certainly no more drizzle.
With that new wind direction being from the ENE, then the most comfortable area to spend time, will be the southwest of the island (between Cobo and Pleinmont).

SURF AND TIDES
Clean 1-2 foot waves from about midday onwards. High water will be about 7.7m at 4pm.

THURSDAY

WEATHER
Still dry and relatively bright, but by no means cloudless. Temperatures will start the day at a lowly 4-5C and only pick up to about 7C. The wind will be a force 3 E’ly, so it won’t have too much of a chilling effect, but once again, the southwest of the island should feel slightly more comfortable than other parts.

SURF AND TIDES
Pretty much flat in the morning, but then we should get some super-clean 1-2 waves. through the afternoon. Low water will be about 2.5m in the late morning and high water will be about 7.9m around sunset.

FRIDAY

WEATHER
Apart from the slightest of wind-veers, from Thursday’s E’ly to Friday’s ESE’ly, there are no other changes really to speak of. Still dry, still partly cloudy and still rather cold.

SURF AND TIDES
Once again, the tides will dictate that the afternoon is the time to go surfing, and the waves we can expect will be super-clean 1-2 footers.

THE WEEKEND

With the centre of the high almost bang on top of us, Saturday will be almost entirely windless, with the sea around us like glass. Then on Sunday, just a slight westward shuffle of that high, will lead to a force 2-4 NW’ly. Apart from those minor details, guess what, the weather and the temperature will be just the same as the previous days.

NEXT WEEK

No great shakes, but gradually turning slightly milder, slightly windier and wetter.

The next forecast update will be on Friday evening.
